Satish Chundru, D.O., Deputy Chief Medical Examiner, received his bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Texas at Austin. He then attended medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center where he received his Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) medical degree. Dr. Chundru then did his pathology residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. After residency training in pathology, he did his fellowship training in Forensics at the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner’s Department. After finishing fellowship, and enjoying the South Beach life, he stayed on as an Associate Medical Examiner for two and half more years in Miami. After getting married, the South Beach life was no longer appealing and he looked to move back to his alma mater. He was hired as a Deputy Medical Examiner in Austin in 2008. Shortly after coming to Austin, he became the Deputy Chief Medical Examiner and continues in that role today. Dr. Chundru is board certified in Anatomic and Forensic Pathology.

Victor Farinelli is the Communications and Field Services manager, which includes the Texas Electronic Registration (TER) system Help Desk and the Vital Statistics Call Center. Victor started at Vital Statistics in May of 2002 in the Request Processing Branch. He then served as the area representative for north Texas from December of 2004 until October of 2007. Victor then moved back over to Request Processing where he was the Team Lead for the Paternity Supplemental team. Victor came back to Field Services in 2009. He was promoted to manager in July of 2013.
